Hygiene and features

Hotel Iceland prioritises the safety of guests and staff and closely monitors developments due to the Covid-19 epidemic on a daily basis. The clinic is a subsidiary of the hotel and is located in the same building.

However, it offers a variety of operations in operating theaters, so it is even more beneficial for the hotel to ensure security.

At the height of the epidemic, we temporarily closed the hotel and cleaned with disinfectants in each room and open area.

We put a lot of effort into hygiene and have taken additional measures as follows;

Rooms are rented out at least 24 hours between guests.

We respect the 2 meter rule at all times. We have installed special markings where applicable and are laying out flow control, ie. number of guests on each floor of the hotel.

Our employees are well informed about the state of affairs and innovations in hygiene. Disinfectant alcohol can be found in the open areas of the hotel and increased cleaning has been installed in common areas such as lifts on doorknobs and other contact surfaces.

Arrangements have been made in the restaurant, both in the breakfast room and in the bar. The highest level of hygiene is maintained and food safety is important to us.

We encourage all our guests to wash their hands many times a day. Encourage people to stay at home if they experience symptoms.

We all work together for safety and thank you for your understanding.

 



Breakfast

In light of COVID-19, the breakfast room may be closed to ensure full health and quality assurance. Those who have breakfast booked with us can request to have it sent to their room at check-in. Please contact the hotel for more information on what regulations apply.

 



 

Cancellations due to COVID-19

Due to the situation caused by COVID-19, we are offering our guests who have booked a room with us on non-refundable terms with us from 15 March 2020 to 31 May 2020

to change the date of your booking with us which must be used within 1 year from the original order at no cost.

If the above terms do not apply to your booking, you are welcome to email us and we will look into the matter for you.

Please note that a new date request is subject to availability.

Your original verification number will be valid as the deposit you have with us.
